Happy Thanksgiving week friends! We have so much to be thankful for and this year we get to include adding a new family member to our list! And no, i’m not just talking about our little son that’s on the way ūüėČ This Saturday, my cousin will be getting married to his love, Hannah! Right now we have a full house with family visiting from out of town, all in preparation for Thanksgiving and Daniel and Hannah’s wedding! It’s been such a fun week and we are only getting started.

We had such a lovely time at their engagement session.¬†These two are so deep in love with each other and were so fun to photograph! We love and enjoy getting to spend time photographing and getting to know all of our clients, but there is something special about watching someone you grew up with walk the journey to marriage with the love of his life. How we went from watching Disney movies in the basement, to becoming adults and getting married i’ll never know, but we are so happy for our cousin Danny and can’t wait to be a part of their marriage celebration on Saturday.

Congratulations Hannah and Daniel! We are so excited for you to start your lives together, and are anticipating to welcome Hannah as an “official” part of our family <3

Much love,

Sharayah and Bence

Fine Art, light and airy Engagement Session at Emory University
The heartbeat of our business is the desire to connect with our couples on a relational level, not just a business one. That’s why we do everything we can to meet our clients in person before they book with us, and include a complimentary engagement session with each wedding we book. These connection points are what allow us to serve our clients well, to serve them on a heart level, to serve them as our friends. Sometimes the distance is just too far to meet our couples in person, but thank goodness for skype! I’m sure we all have a love-hate relationship with technology, but it sure does have it’s perks. We met with Eun Si and Dan for the first time over the internet as they live in DC, but even though we were sitting across from screens, and not in person at our favorite coffee shop, we all hit it off right away and we just knew we had to work with Eun Si and Dan.

Eun Si’s darling and sweet personality, paired with Dan’s great sense of humor yet sensitive heart makes these two the perfect fit for one another and we have loved getting to know them. On a recent trip they made down to Georgia to finalize wedding plans and visit their family, we got to finally meet in person for their engagement session! Eun Si and Dan chose Emory University for their location, as this is where Eun Si graduated from. Even though our own brother in law attended Emory, we had never had the pleasure of walking the campus before…and let me tell you, this is one of our new favorite engagement session locations! The gorgeous architecture, light and bright architecture, columns and marble is a photographers dream! But getting to shoot Eun Si and Dan there was just the icing on the cake.¬†When¬†their engagement session was over we walked to the cars and just couldn’t stop talking to each other, so we decided to grab some pizza together! We had a lovely time just talking about life, love and marriage. They had so many great questions they wanted to ask us about marriage and it blessed us that they wanted to hear from¬†us¬†on the topic! Their hearts are so open to learn, their desire is to learn all they can so that their marriage is strong and that they can serve and love each other well. How beautiful is that?

Bence and I are so blessed to be Eun Si and Dan’s photographers, and also to call them our friends. We just wish they lived closer, because I have no doubt there would be many more double date nights over pizza in our future ūüėČ

Congratulations Eun Si and Dan! We are so excited for you to become one, and are so thankful that you chose us to be the ones to photograph your special day.

We rounded the bend in the park that curves around Feneketlen Lake and were met with a cute couple, smiling from ear to ear. “This must be them!” I said to myself, their giddiness gave it away:)You see, while Bence and I were in Hungary this summer we had a lovely opportunity to shoot an engagement session! It had always been our dream to do a photoshoot in Budapest, Hungary but we never had the opportunity outside of the family, until now! Our brother in law had some friends in town from Germany, and Jannik was planning to propose to his girlfriend while they were in Hungary, since this is where she is originally from. He had the whole morning planned, and the grand finale? He wanted engagement photos taken to document the special occasion! It just so happened that Bence and I were in town and free on the day he planned to propose and so our brother in law set the whole thing up for us:)I wish all of our engagement sessions could happen on the day of the proposal because these two were so precious together, they had just gotten engaged an hour prior to the sessions start time and they were still giddy with excitement.

Jannik and Naomi are such precious people. Their love and commitment to one another is so beautiful and we are so thankful that we got to know them while we were all in Hungary! We started the session at the beautiful Feneketlen Lake, with the gorgeous¬†Church of Szentimrev√°ros in the background. After we walked around the lake, we headed to one of my favorite places in Budapest, Fisherman’s Bastion! This gorgeous structure was the perfect place to continue their session. We were all a little bit nervous that there would be lots of people there in the afternoon, since it is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Hungary. But God was gracious and there weren’t that many people there as we anticipated! We were able to work around the tourists, and the sun, and captured some lovely images of this perfectly adorable couple. It was such a dream! We ended our time in the cutests little Hungarian restaurant, lunching on some of Hungary’s seriously delicious cuisine. It was such a special day for all of us, and one that we will remember for years to come.

Jannik and Naomi, thank you for trusting two photographers from America that you had never met before to capture such a special day in your lives. It was an absolute honor to capture your love and your joy from behind our cameras.

p.s. Here is a really fun fact for you! In Germany, the guy gets to wear an engagement ring too! Isn’t that fun? They both get to enjoy wearing engagement rings during the engagement period on their left hand. Then, they get matching wedding bands to wear on the right hand! I love learning about engagement and wedding traditions from other countries and I thought you might find that interesting too!

xoxo Sharayah and Bence

When I think about all of the lovely couples that we get to work with, I am constantly blown away! We have the pleasure of getting to meet and photograph some of the sweetest couples and we are so thankful. Tia and Tyler are one such couple and we are so thankful that they were referred to us by Tyler’s sister, Hannah! You might remember Hannah and Daniel’s engagement session we did at the lovely Roswell Mill at the beginning of the year:)

Tia and Tyler chose the Cator Woolford Gardens for their engagement session location and it was perfect! You would never know this pretty little spot was located just minutes from Downtown Atlanta, but it is a gorgeous hidden away garden, perfect for intimate engagement photos. We had a lovely time exploring the gardens, chatting with Tia and Tyler about their relationship, work, and tv shows that we like to watch! It was a joy to get to know these two and just to watch how they interact with each other and love each other so well was a joy. These two are the perfect fit for one another and it truly shines through in their photos!

Tia and Tyler thank you so much for choosing us as your photographers, we can’t wait for your wedding next year!

xoxo Sharayah and Bence
